This is a listening and making site for collective and singular bodies and souls, offering brief sessions that begin with the premise that our needs are more common than we think. Since when care under capitalism = neglect, many parts need attention.
Ann Schnake is an artist, and nurse and the maker and holder of this room; for many years, she worked in a county clinic and offered conventional medical treatment. Now she works with more ethereal tools, making new body parts, talking with people and enacting care, repair, attention and intention.

Here are some of the questions operative in the space: What has happened to us in this moment? Does something hurt inside you? What is the relationship between our body parts and the swirling poetics and metaphors our bodies hold? Can the embers of age-old practices of ritual, listening, the work of our hands, and compassion be called forth in a small magical room? And how does listening to our most tender innards prepare us for the world?
And where do we hold grief and how might tend to this ?
