An installation of drawings, photo compilations, tapestries, and altars by Kico Le Strange, aka Marco Garcia.Over the last months and years, Kico has been collecting the baby photos of his loved ones and placing them next to baby photos of his own sweet self. Mixed together, they are “Usies”. It’s of no matter when Le Strange met them; they were destined to become friends, lovers, soulmates, and to travel through eternity together. Blending past, present, and future, the “Usies” create new narratives for this moment; time and relationships are not linear, and the moment is unfolding. In this body of work, Le Strange challenges ideas of temporality, retelling timelines and cherishing the beauty and complexity of relationships.
