This painting is part of a series about the Tree of the Little Hands, which is a tree that is native to Mexico (El Arbol de Manitas). It's flowers are reminiscent of little hands and that is how I drew the flowers as actual hands. The flowers are considered to have healing qualities. In my drawing, the trees' Little Hands are always exploring, experimenting, doing alchemy in search of transformation.
